About the Project

The overall objective of the CerTour project is to promote agro-tourism in the partners' regions and to improve the quality of the services provided by introducing a common specific quality standard and a certification process.

This objective has been achieved through a group of activities during the project period: Study of the current status, design of a common standard for agro-tourism and their adaptation to local conditions, local pilot implementation – certifications, common project promotion and dissemination of the results, visibility of the Action, management and coordination of the Action.
The CerTour Common Standard Framework is a set of requirements that depending on the type of the enterprise includes the following criteria with specific detailed sub-criteria: the region, infrastructure of the enterprise, personnel, quality systems, organization, servicing, additional services, environmental protection, cost.
The partners have created a network to administrate the CerTour Certification System on a sustainable basis beyond the project period. This network will be the institution that will exploit the results of the CerTour project and will extend and expand the implementation of the quality standard in agro-tourism.
